Birkar Construction is an Iraqi company specializing in architectural construction and general contracting. Founded over a decade ago, it draws on its founders' extensive experience.

The company has completed key projects in the Kurdistan Region. It thrives on strong partnerships with both local and international firms, including Kfoury Construction (Lebanon), Alia (Slovenia, part of Austria’s IC Group), and Tiba (Turkey), which specializes in hospital construction. It also collaborates with firms like Oximat (Denmark) and Universal (India).

Birkar aims to expand its operations and play a key role in Iraq’s reconstruction.

Structural Construction: A core area of expertise, covering all stages from excavation to interior finishes and security systems. Birkar has a skilled engineering team, specialized equipment, and strong collaborations with local contractors, such as Malbat Rawan, which contributed to the 32-floor "Shary Jwan" hotel structure in Sulaymaniyah.
Roads & Bridges: Birkar is expanding into infrastructure projects through a joint venture with Slovenia-Austria's IC Alia, currently working on six traffic interchanges in Sulaymaniyah. IC Group is one of Europe’s leading firms in bridge and road engineering.
Tunnels: Birkar actively participates in tunnel construction tenders, supported by its own experience and the expertise of IC Group.
Oil & Gas Infrastructure: The company’s relationship with Romania’s Rompetrol dates back to 2003, culminating in a contract with U.S.-based Bechtel to rehabilitate oil valve systems in Basra.
Security Systems: Birkar is finalizing an agency agreement with a leading European security systems provider to open a showroom in Iraq, with a focus on oil facility protection.
Electrical & Lighting Systems: Birkar maintains strong ties with premium manufacturers, including many renowned companies whose products meet European CE quality standards.

Birkar Construction holds a First-Class Certificate from the Kurdistan Region’s Ministry of Planning.
